I was impressed with Mary from the first time I met her. She was decisive, secure and intellect. From the beginning, I realized that she didn't need me like other 'dependent' women.

My position in the accounting department of the store necessarily brought us together a great deal, and being single and only one year her senior, we spent much time both during and after business hours together, so no one was greatly surprised when we were married after six years of a close and happy friendship.

"I'll try?," I laughed, "I don't know much about taking care of a house so you'll have to tell me what it is you want done."

"That's why I love you. You're so open," Mary smiled. "Okay, I'll continue to cook but you take
